BRENDA CARTEE LEE's career as an educator and the years she spent gardening and raising animals on her North Georgia farm, provided the motivation for writing her first children's book, LUNCH AT THE ZOO.

For over 18 years, Brenda has taught in the Georgia public school system. In addition to teaching, Brenda also conducts writers' workshops and is a Publishing Consultant for beginning authors.
